LAALUANAR Foundation

Afghanistan's Diverse Strength in Unity

KarimaJaan is one of the founders and directors of the Laaluanar Foundation, bringing decades of professional experience in bridging supportive connections for deserving families in Afghanistan. As a dedicated humanitarian, she has loyally devoted her career to fostering harmonious networks that empower vulnerable children, including orphans, and their families from all backgrounds, addressing longstanding challenges with practical, grounded solutions that assure sustainable growth and mutual support in diverse communities.

Her efforts have been focused primarily on regions like Qandahar and Badakhshan, as well as some other provinces, centering on motivating local collaborations for essential resources and growth opportunities, embodying kindness, discretion, and lasting impact. Living in a vibrant, diverse community with new challenges, she contributes to the foundation’s vision of peaceful integration, resilience, and unity; honoring our Afghan roots while fully embracing and enriching our cherished new lands with gratitude, empathy, and non-judgmental collaboration.

Beyond her humanitarian work, KarimaJaan is renowned as a nurturing figure not only to her own children but to the children of family members and relatives, who are delightfully “addicted” to her masterful cooking of their favorite foods and dishes. Whether sending homemade specialties by mail, entrusting them to family, relatives, or community members who are traveling, or dedicating her time in the kitchen during visits across states to fulfill the wish lists of eager young ones, her warmth and generosity have earned her affectionate titles like Ama KarimaJaan or Khala KarimaJaan, symbols of her role as a beloved maternal guide in the extended family.

With decades of service in the airline industry, KarimaJaan serves as a trusted advisor to family, relatives, and the broader community, offering expert insights on securing the best travel offers, arranging safe and efficient trips; especially for families with children or those with disabilities; and making informed decisions on purchases related to journeys across the states. Her deep knowledge ensures seamless, stress-free experiences that prioritize safety, affordability, and accessibility for all.

Drawing from her deep commitment to humanitarian efforts, KarimaJaan thoughtfully shares narratives of resilience and progress to inspire broader involvement, encouraging others to engage in meaningful ways that promote self-sufficiency, community strength, and positive change. This includes guiding the BirthdayStar Bridge initiative, which she leads as part of the Laaluanar Foundation, dedicated to empowering young people through cultural connections and virtual birthday gestures for orphans worldwide. Through her dedicated BirthdayStar Blog, Star Kids share creative contributions to connect with orphans, fostering empathy and cultural kindness in a discreet, motivational way while respecting privacy.
